The fruit

The pitahaya or "dragon fruit" is the latest incorporation to Cuna´s products. We grow two varieties, one red on the outside, with white pulp, and the other with red or purple pulp.
Pitahaya-cultivo

Cultivation

The pitahaya is a subtropical fruit, which bears fruit from July to November. It is a perennial plant, with thorns on its green branches. Its flowers are hermaphroditic and open at night.
Pitahaya-propiedades

Its properties

The pitahaya helps the proper functioning of the intestines and stomach. Its seeds contain an oil with laxative properties. In addition, it is a great source of vitamin C and water.
